New Shower Curtain

I finally found a fabric that I absolutely love for my shower curtain. The fabric is from Fabric.com. They have an awesome fabric selection, sometimes a little too over whelming. And for the Curtain rod hangers I just sewed button holes for it to hang by, simple.

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

This weekend I made a cute simple valance for my Kitchen window. These are such a simple and easy project if you have a sewing machine, an Iron and can sew a strait stitch you can make a valance.

I found my fabric at Fabric.com

Super Easy Table Runner

The other day I made a super easy table runner for my kitchen table, and I absolutely love it.

Finished it is 14" wide by 33" long.

I found a fabric that I love (Amy Butler).

I cut my fabric to 33 1/2" inches long and 28 1/2" wide, the half inch accounts for your seam allowance.

Fold your fabric in half, remember to sew it face to face and leave about 10 inches on one end so that you can flip it inside out.

Flip it and sew the 10 inch opening with a blind stitch.

I didn't want to machine quilt it so whenever I have to wash it, I also have to iron it. But that is not very often.

Easter Skirt

This is a really simple Skirt that I made for my daughter last year for Easter, it is so simple and fun to make.

Just find 4 or 5 coordinating Fabrics and cut them into strips, I made mine about 2 1/2 inches at the top and 3 1/2 inches at the bottom. Sew them together then cut a strip for the bottom I think the bottom strip ties it all in nicely together. Last of course sew the elastic band at the top and walla a cute fun skirt.

Stool Redo

Sometimes I am the worst at the Before picture, so I will just give you a rundown of how this stool looked before I painted it.

It was baby blue with a big yellow star it the middle, isn't it amazing how are style can change over time, or just get a little more sophisticated.
I spray painted it with Krylon, then I cut my graphic out of vinyl, but I didn't want to use the vinyl on the stool because I wasn't sure how it would hold up to my kids standing on it. So I used the vinyl as a stencil, and of course we have to make everything look old so I used some distress ink on the corners.
I hope this inspires you.

Power of Paint

Have you ever been given a wonderful picture by wonderful people but you just weren't the biggest fan of the picture frame, and of course they went to the time to have it signed by the artist on the back, so of course you don't want to ruin the paper dust protector on the back. Well I have.

So here is a great solution, Paint it. I took a plastic bag and gently tucked it under the picture frame.

Spray paint it, I used Stone from American Accents, I love this stuff, it can make anything look that much more fancy, I have some flower pots that I can't wait to try it out on.

Then wait for the paint to dry before you remove the plastic bag.
And you have an awesome new frame that fits your own personal decor.
