Today I decided to try painting some fabric, I have seen a couple different techniques for this, but I decided to try spray painting. I have to say I love how it turned out.
Things that you will need:
Vinyl, linen fabric, and Outdoor spray paint of choice.
1st- Cut out your pattern of choice
2nd- Place the vinyl on your fabric
3rd- Spray paint, make sure you let it dry in between coats, make sure you do thin multiple coats because you don't want it to bleed under the vinyl.
4th- Peel the vinyl off
And just for a heads up, after I let it dry for 24 hours I washed it in the washing machine, and it washed beautifully, no bleeding or fading.
This is my finished product a couch pillow.
I just did this with my porch pillows! I LOVE spray paint, it makes my life a little bit happier. Can't wait to see what you're making, that color is gorgeous.
