Hanging Basket Redo

I have this old Hanging Basket that someone gave me years ago and this summer I decided to give it a little face lift.
I just used Rustoleums Stone Spray Paint, and I bought a $3 dollar hook From Walmart so that I could hang it from my deck.
I think it turned out Awesome.

Roller Blinds

This week I have decided to make some roller blinds. I love the layered look when you have curtains and a roller blind in wood or fabric. But if you are looking to do that to all of your windows that could get very expensive. So I figured I would try to find a slightly cheaper way to do it.

You will need:
Modge Podge or some clear drying glue.
A peel to width roller blind, I found mine at Walmart for 5 dollars.
Fabric
Tape Measure

1st- measure your window add a couple of inches for a seam allowance on the bottom also make sure you read all the instructions that come with your vinyl roller blinds because you need to put it back together the same way it was except with fabric instead of the cheap Vinyl.

2nd - You are not going to be able to hem the edges because then they will not be to able to roll up evenly. So you need to trace the outer edge with a pencil or washable pen.
Next put glue on the line that you have drawn all the way around, this will keep your fabric from fraying after it has been cut.
3rd - I saved the vinyl that I took off of the Roller rod so that I can sew it to the back of the fabric then it will be more of a black out shade for watching movies and to keep the heat out.

4th - Hem the bottom, save the plastic rod that keeps the Vinyl laying flat.
Last put the blind back together, you are going to need to glue the fabric back on the rod, I just used my hot glue gun.

Whatever!

As usual, summer comes around and if their anything like my kids they need new shorts and short sleeved shirts. So why not have a little fun and make a few of them yourself, or at least come up with the graphic.

This is one that I made for my Son his favorite thing to say to me is "WHATEVER"
I used heat press vinyl that you can cut out with your cricut or silhouette.

Cut it out and then just iron it on.

Easy as Pie!

Words of Inspiration

In my daugther's room she had a wall full of big white polka dots it was a little busy in my opinion. So we took all of those down and added what I like to call the wall of Inspiration.

I wasn't sure what she would think but she loves it.

Cork Boards

My kids love to be able to display things in their bedrooms, so for each of them I have made cork boards that they can easily hang things and take them down when the don't want them any more.

1st - The cork boards I found where 12" by 12" so for my sons room I used 3 of them.

2nd - I cut a piece of bead board for the back. I used bead board because I had some in my garage and it is light weight.

3rd - I wanted to use three different fabrics for him so I sewed them together and then stapled them around the cork board and bead board.

Then just hang it on the wall
